Summary

The RGA will provide an advocacy and communications service to the Rice Research and Development Committee (RRDC) and the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC).

Due to the reduction in budget, the RGA will not be able to provide secretarial assistance to the RRDC or RIRDC, which includes the compilation and mailing out of Committee papers.

To ensure RGA participation in the work of the RRDC.
To promote the work plan of the RRDC to growers and other stakeholders, inlcuding State and Federal Governments.
To maintain the R&D levy at $3 per tonne post January 2009.
