Summary

The ecolabel schemes in the major markets for the Australian wildflower and native plant industry (Japan, North America, Europe, China, Middle East and South East Asia) will be indentified. The leading importers and wholesalers in the major markets will be surveyed to identify their ecolabel requirements and preferences. The requirements of the preferred ecolabelling schemes will be identified. The certification and on-going audit costs of the preferred ecolabelling schemes will be ascertained. [The costs of meeting the standards of the preferred ecolabelling schemes will depend on the circumstances of each supplier.] The costs and benefits of establishing an accredited Australian wildflower and native plant industry ecolabel will also be ascertained.
