Summary

This project will secure the part-time services of an industry communication specialist to work with the subtropical coffee industry. The person will facilitate extension and adoption of research and development findings/outcomes within the industry.

Objective Summary

The extension specialist will work with the Australian Subtropical Coffee Industry to:

1. Establish partnerships with all sectors of the coffee industry;
2. Establish links with organisations which have relevance to the production, distribution, promotion and regulation of coffee;
3. Generate and maintain industry cohesion and communication strategies;
4. Encourage active participation of the industry in research and development;
5. Promote the adoption of Best Management Practices for all aspects of the chain from grower to wholesaler.
